Greg Whynott brings over 27 years of experience in IT, with a focus on high-performance computing (HPC), networking, and storage. He has held leadership roles including Director and Head of IT, supporting large-scale infrastructure for creative studios. Greg began his career at Alias|Wavefront (SGI), the creators of industry-defining tools still used in content creation today. He was part of MR. X prior to its acquisition by Technicolor, and later jumped at the chance to reunite with longtime collaborator Dennis Berardi at Herne Hill. Now, with the relaunch of MR. X, Greg is excited to be part of one of Toronto’s original and most iconic VFX studios once again. Outside the world of tech and film, Greg is passionate about photography, cooking, gardening, spending time with his family and cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs.
