Garloff Langenbeck is a Senior FX Artist with over two decades of experience in visual effects and a deep passion for horror. Originally from Germany, Garloff began his VFX career in 2002 and worked across Europe before joining MR. X in 2019, fulfilling a long-held goal inspired by the studio’s work on Dawn of the Dead (2004), which first caught his attention through the film’s DVD extras.
Emigrating from Germany with his family was a major step, but one that ultimately brought him closer to the kind of work he had long admired. When Dennis Berardi founded Herne Hill (now the relaunched MR. X), Garloff joined from day one as the studio’s first FX artist, an exciting and natural next chapter in his career.
Known for his gory, slimy, and visceral effects work, Garloff has contributed to standout projects including Raised by Wolves, Antlers, Monster Hunter, Cabinet of Curiosities, Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022), Whistle, and Frankenstein.
