David Roby

With more than 19 years of experience in visual effects for feature film and television, David Roby has built a career spanning both artistic and technical disciplines. Beginning as a 3D generalist, he later specialized in modeling, texturing, and look development before progressing into CG leadership roles. Throughout his career, he has contributed to projects including Nightmare Alley, Monster Hunter, Hellboy, A Series of Unfortunate Events, and Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities. Along the way, he has become known for leading teams of artists, developing efficient workflows, solving complex technical challenges, and maintaining the highest visual standards across productions. Today, as CG Supervisor at MR. X, David oversees multidisciplinary CG teams while helping drive innovation in asset development and production methodologies.
